Certified Diabetes + Fitness Specialists (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provide the Certified Diabetes + Fitness Specialist certification program and related resources (collectively, the "Certification"). This Disclaimer outlines important information regarding the scope, limitations, and legal terms associated with the Certification.
By participating in or utilizing our Certification and resources, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. No Medical Advice
The Certification is designed for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Participants are not authorized to:
Diagnose medical conditions.
Prescribe medications.
Modify prescribed treatments for clients.
Fitness professionals must advise clients to consult with a qualified healthcare provider for any medical concerns or adjustments to their treatment plans.
2. Professional Scope of Practice
Completion of the Certification does not expand, modify, or replace the scope of practice for fitness professionals as defined by state, federal, or professional licensing laws. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their services comply with all applicable regulations and professional standards.
3. Liability Limitation
We are not liable for any injuries, health issues, or other outcomes arising from the use or application of the Certification content. Participants assume full responsibility for implementing the knowledge and skills gained through the program in their professional practice.
4. No Guarantees of Income or Business Success
While the Certification is designed to enhance professional skills and marketability, we do not guarantee any specific financial, career, or business outcomes. Success depends on factors beyond our control, including individual effort, market conditions, and client needs.
5. Accuracy of Information
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, the Certification materials may not reflect the latest research, clinical guidelines, or regulatory standards. Participants should independently verify information and stay informed about developments in diabetes care and fitness.
6. Use of Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs) and Other Tools
The Certification includes information about CGMs and other tools. These tools should be used in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and under appropriate medical supervision. Fitness professionals must not interpret CGM data beyond their scope of practice.
7. Certification Renewal and Maintenance
To maintain active certification status, participants must complete the required renewal process every year. Failure to renew may result in the suspension or revocation of certification credentials.
8. Intellectual Property
All materials provided as part of the Certification, including but not limited to course content, logos, and trademarks, are the exclusive property of Certified Diabetes + Fitness Specialists. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of these materials is strictly prohibited.
9. Third-Party Resources
The Certification may reference third-party tools, research, or services. We do not endorse or guarantee the quality or accuracy of any third-party resources, and participants use such resources at their own discretion.
10. Updates to Certification and Disclaimer
We reserve the right to update or modify the Certification content, requirements, and this Disclaimer at any time without prior notice. Participants are responsible for reviewing updates and ensuring compliance with the latest terms.
